The Voice

David (to his servants): ³⁸ Don’t you know that today a prince, a great man, has fallen in Israel? ³⁹ Although I am his anointed king, today I have no power to punish his murderers. The sons of my sister Zeruiah are too violent for me to restrain. May the Eternal repay the wicked according to their wickedness!
